Happy New Year, Daleks and MI:4
Let me first start off by saying a huge...

I wish you all a happy and healthy 2012!
I've had a busy period between Christmas and New Years. I found out my short story, Fourth Time's a Charm, has been accepted for publication by Ellora's Cave. It will be part of the Naughty Nooner series ;)
Me and Mister Scarlett went to see David Fincher's version of The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo. I did have my reservations. I didn't think a Hollywood version would be able to do the book justice. I didn't think Fincher would make it so graphic. It turns out I was very wrong. Kudos to Fincher and all the cast - it was amazing. Loved the soundtrack by Trent Raznor too.
We also went to visit the National Media Museum. It has an IMAX theatre and we went to see MI:4 (and got a bonus showing of the first 6 minutes of new Batman movie *geeky squee*). MI:4 was good fun - didn't take itself too seriously and we both thoroughly enjoyed watching TC hanging from the Burji. Edge of the seat stuff!
The thing that got my geek squeeing with exquisite joy was this:

The museum had a full size dalek from Dr. Who! I got very excited to say the least.
Now the holiday period is over it's back to work, and back to writing :)
