New Novella Contracted with Phaze Publishing

After taking part in the erotic workshop with Tina Burns over on Romance Divas, I was encouraged to send in one of my erotic novellas that has been looking for a publishing home. If you've been reading my blog or my posts, you'll know it was rejected from one publisher for being *ahem* too steamy...well one week after my submission to Phaze, I received a delightful email telling me they would love to pick up the novella!

I'll have more details shortly but here is a synopsis of Taboo -

Taboo – two tales of dark, forbidden pleasure…

In Decadence, group sex is a forbidden fruit, a social taboo. Cameron knows her lover, Vince, has experimented in the past, and she is increasingly turned on by thoughts of sex with more than one person. Deciding to take matters into her own hands, Cameron forms a plan with her best friend – one night of unbridled, no holds barred, sexual experimentation. One night that will bring two couples closer than they’ve ever been.

Darkness is set in the not too distance future. Mia is a criminal psychologist who has fallen in love with professional thief, Dylan Benjamin. They share a violent childhood and Mia finds in Dylan understanding and acceptance, as well as a craving for rough sex. After helping him escape from prison, Dylan comes to claim what is his and Mia finally succumbs to her hidden desire for forbidden lust.

Submission of my 'Muse'

After spending a number of months editing, re-writing and more editing, I'm finally back to doing what I love to do - write. Over the past few months something has been missing, and yesterday I discovered what that was - the joy of creating. For the first time in weeks I sat down and wrote. Ten pages flew from my fingers with no struggle at all. My muse is back where she belongs - in submission- and I feel at peace.

Ahhh, I hear you ask what ten pages those were...

Everyone meet Jared MacKenzie...

(Yes, I know it's really David Duchovny, but go with me here!)

He's going to be the man to turn Erin MaClaine's world upside down in more ways than one. And make note of the leather pants... ;) Hopefully, you will be meeting him shortly.

Harrison vrs Brendan?

As a romance writer, my days are filled with dashing, handsome heroes who think nothing of walking through the fires of hell for their heroine. These heroes are all in my head of course…

But there are characters on the silver screen who live up to that image – Indiana Jones and Rick O’Connell (The Mummy) spring to mind. Let’s compare the two. Both are sexy, adventurous, wicked and wild, and to be honest ladies (and gents!) we’ve all thought the sex would be pretty hot with either of them or both… *ahem*

I love The Mummy franchise. Brendan Fraser was perfectly cast as Rick. If I ever wrote a historical, tomb raiding novel he would be my perfect eyecandy. I’d always been told that Indiana Jones was the original Rick and not seeing those movies (don’t throw things at me!) I was missing out. Sooooo finally pushed into the watching the Indie movies, I settled down, switched on the DVD player and began to watch…

Needless to say I was disappointed. For me, Indie was all wrong and the problem is Harrison Ford. I can just imagine all the messages I’m going to get about this! *laughs* But just hear me out. You have this geeky professor who is a little uncomfortable with his sexuality by day, and by night he turns into a sexy hunk wielding a whip and wearing leather – my kind of guy! And yet, there is NOTHING going on behind Harrison Ford’s eyes – no inherent sexuality, no wildness, no nothing that should make a whip wielding tomb raider as sexy as hell. I felt cheated. The packaging was there but the spark was missing.

Am I missing something? Am I wrong? Is Harrison Ford sexier than Brendan Fraser?

Devil's Dance receives a 5 angel review from Fallen Angel Reviews!

Devils Dance - 5 angels

Just because Tessa Connelly is a sex therapist doesn’t mean she’s experienced in sex. She might know plenty thanks to her patients but when it comes to actually practice Tessa’s never indulged her own desires. When a visit to a local sex club has her meeting a sexy guy, Tessa can’t control the desires suddenly rampaging through her body. After a sizzling kiss she flees, scared by her own need to give this stranger anything he asks for. But when Luc seeks her out and offer a month of sexual mastery she can’t resist her hidden need to submit. Will Luc be able to fill her every desire and will she be able to walk away after a month of sexual fulfillment?

Tessa is a strong independent woman with a secret desire to submit in the bedroom. None of her previous lovers have ever satisfied her like Luc does. He knows everything she needs and he gives it to her, holding nothing back. He dominates her completely in the bedroom but out of it treats her as an equal. It’s no wonder Tessa falls in love with him. Luc is a little jaded when it comes to relationships, he’s also been out of the game for a while but as soon as he sees Tessa he has to have her. These two turn Devil’s Dance into one scorching hot read. Scarlett Sanderson has you wishing for a little hot action of your own. Luc is a guy any woman would want to submit to, Tessa is one we can all identify with, and their sizzling encounters have you reaching for the ice water. If you’re after a short, hot read pick up a copy of Devil’s Dance. You won’t be disappointed.
