Coffeetime Romance Chat Day, Cafepress Goodies and Edits

http://groups.yahoo.com/group/karenfindoutaboutnewbooks/

Today I'll be dropping in and out of CoffeeTime Romance's yahoo group. It is The Wild Rose Press authors day, so if you want to chat with your favourite Wild Rose authors, then hop along. There will be excerpts, questions and answers, as well as a few goodies ;)

As for some more news, my Cafepress store is finally open.

There are only a few items available so far, but stick with us and that could change.

Here are some samples of what you can purchase:

A Conqueror's Destiny is in the editing process. I have a wonderful editor - Rilee St James- who reigns me in. Thank goodness for editors! :) Hopefully it should be available for purchase in the next few months.

Finally, I am working on a new series featuring the archangels. This series has been plaguing me for some time now. I started it about a year ago, and put it to one side. After conducting research I am once again desperate to get going. Be on the look out for that!

A time when men were men...

I just saw 300 and I had to make a post. I've been waiting for this movie for a few months now as you can see by earlier posts. It hails back to a time when men were men; and when sweaty, bloody warriors never looked so tempting!

300 for all its historical faults ((and there are few!)) is a spectacular movie. Although the ending is pretty much set in stone, I still sobbed into my tissues at the end. And that's not to mention all that luscious, naked skin on show... *wicked grin*

Cafepress Goodies

I've had a cafepress store for a while now, but I've been waiting on designs. My hubby to be (who is a very talented artist), came up with some simple designs for me to market.

Here are just a sample:

Don't they look purdy?! I still can hardly believe that those books covers are MINE. Still sends chills down my spine everytime I see them :)

Reading, Reviewing and Non-Writing

Right now juggling schedules is a nightmare for me. A nightmare I seem to be coping with. I turned 26 last week, booked my wedding, took a new job...the list is endless! lol

Reading is my main pastime at the moment. Right now I'm reading Master of Desire by the extremely talented Kinley MacGregor. I love her historicals - didn't realize how much until I started this re-read. She has great pace, tone and humor to her books, as well as characters that punch you in the gut with emotion.

As an author, she is someone I admire greatly. More books please Miss Kenyon!

Moving on, I also took my old reviewing job back with A Romance Review. The old adagio 'you don't know what you've got till it's gone' (or was that from a song?!) rings true in this case. I missed reviewing. I missed discovering new reads and recommending them to readers.

My first new review will be of the book Cemetery Dancer by K.Z Snow.

I'm about a quarter of the way through the book. So far, it's a great read. Sassy, packed with a unique storyline and loveable characters, if you are looking for something different - Cemetery Dancer is your book. There is definitely a lot of talent around the ebook world!

Finally, one read I cannot wait to get my hands on is JR Ward's
Lover Revealed. It's Butch's book and it's about time we read about the handsome cop! With a few revelations, a lot of steam and to die for characters, all I can say is roll on March 6th! Although, I am having my copy shipped from the US -estimated time of arrival end of March *sobs*
As for my own writing, it's coming along slowly. One gruelling chapter after another. Shadows is up to 13,500 words and I've only just started chapter 5. Still no sign of romance though!
